Drama unfolded at Arun Jaitley Stadium as the Women's Delhi Premier League saw Central Delhi Queens securing a thriller of a victory against North Delhi Strikers on Wednesday. The Queens battled their way to a final spot, clinching a tight 118-run target by just one wicket in the dying moments of the game.

The Strikers' bowlers initially dominated, limiting the Queens to a precarious 43/4. Monika stood tall amidst the chaos, delivering a crucial 36 from 39 balls. Her run-out, however, intensified the pressure, leaving the Queens dependent on their lower order in the final over.

With the Queens needing 14 runs from the last six balls, tension was palpable. Parunika Sisodia's stumping off Nazma's wide ball left the team on edge. But a dramatic turn of events unfolded when Priya Mishra's lofted shot was missed at mid-on, allowing the ball to reach the boundary and the Queens to claim victory with a ball to spare.
