LCR Honda is grappling with a shortage of riders ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, as Aleix Espargaro, the latest call-up, was forced to withdraw due to a cycling accident injury.

Espargaro initially stepped in for Somkiat Chantra, sidelined by a knee injury. However, Espargaro's own back injury occurred during his time cycling, leaving the team with further complications.

Medical tests confirmed damage to his L3 vertebra, prompting his return to Barcelona for further evaluation. Consequently, Johann Zarco remains LCR Honda's sole competitor at Balaton Park Circuit, while Espargaro misses a chance to compete alongside his brother, Pol, in the race weekend.
