At the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, India's shooters once again demonstrated their prowess. Leading the charge were Elavenil Valarivan and Arjun Babuta, who collaborated to seize the gold medal in the 10m air rifle mixed team event. Elavenil expressed immense pride in winning for the nation.

Their victory against China's Peng Xinlu and Lu Dingke was decisive, with a 17-11 score securing India the top podium position. Elavenil's sentiments were echoed by her teammate Babuta, both relishing the national support upon their return.

Among the juniors, Naren Pranav claimed gold in the 10m junior air rifle mixed team. Determined to see India's flag at the Olympics, Pranav vowed to enhance his skills. Meanwhile, debutant Hurdya Sri Kondur regarded her seventh-place finish as an initial step in her international journey.

Gold and bronze medallist Bhumi Gulia celebrated her dual victories, while accomplished shooter Manu Bhaker added two bronze medals to India's tally, with potential for more in the ongoing events. India fields a robust squad in the championship, including 35 senior and 129 junior participants.
