Regarded as one of the heroes behind India's triumph at the 2007 T20 World Cup, RP Singh is heralded for his impactful performances, including a stellar display in a Test series against England. He will be stepping into Subroto Banerjee's position.

A source from the BCCI revealed to PTI, on condition of anonymity, that RP Singh and Ojha's names are expected to be ratified by the Cricket Advisory Committee prior to the BCCI's AGM.
