In a stunning upset on day 10 of the Punjab Hockey League (U-21), Naval Tata Hockey Academy, Jamshedpur, defeated the league leaders Roundglass Hockey Academy 5-3, handing them their first loss. The intense match took place Thursday at the Olympian Surjit Singh Hockey Stadium. This significant victory for Naval Tata propelled them to third place with 17 points.

The league's dynamics shifted as the Sports Authority of India (SAI) National Centre of Excellence, Sonipat, overcame a 3-1 deficit to defeat PIS Surjit Hockey Academy 4-3. SAI Sonipat now leads the table with 27 points, surpassing Roundglass Hockey Academy's 26 points. The victory was secured through penalty corner conversions by Navraj Singh and a late penalty stroke by Harpal.

In earlier matches, SDAT Hockey Academy staged a comeback to beat Namdhari Hockey Academy 2-1, while SGPC Hockey Academy, Amritsar, edged past Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy with a 4-3 win. The Punjab Hockey League, organized by Roundglass Hockey Academy and Hockey Punjab, aims to nurture young hockey talent in India.
