Christian Horner, the former Red Bull team boss, officially departed the racing team with an 80 million-pound settlement, according to British media reports. The team announced his exit on Monday after his ousting in July but did not disclose any financial details in the official statement.
Horner, one of Formula One's most successful team principals, was dismissed from his role at Milton Keynes on July 9 after two decades of leadership. Replaced by Laurent Mekies, Horner technically remained with the company without operational duties. Reports suggest he could return to the racing scene next year.
The Daily Mail and Times reported that Horner could take a stake in another team if he returns. Cleared of misconduct allegations, Horner expressed pride in breaking records and achieving significant milestones with Red Bull. The company continues its winning streak, with Max Verstappen's recent victory in Azerbaijan.
