India's rising karting talent, Atiqa Mir, showcased remarkable skill and resilience by securing fourth place in the Champions of the Future Academy (COFTA) karting series. Her performance in round 4.1 narrowly missed a podium finish, yet it highlighted her exemplary racecraft and potential in a competitive field.

Atiqa, the first Indian backed by Formula 1 and a member of the F1 Academy DYD program, came impressively close to a victory, finishing just 0.32 seconds behind the race winner in the mini category. Despite being in a male-dominated grid at the Slovakia Karting Centre, her fourth-place finish marked a historic achievement for an Indian driver in the championship.

In another race over the weekend, an unfortunate hit from another competitor set Atiqa back, yet her talent shone through against a strong international lineup. Her father, Asif Nazir Mir, himself a former champion, praised her hard work and the support of her team, highlighting Atiqa's impressive progress and dedication.
