Veteran Indian golfer Rahil Gangjee demonstrated impressive form by carding a flawless four-under 66 on the rain-affected first day of the Jakarta International Championship. He trails the clubhouse leader by three shots.

Gangjee, a seasoned 47-year-old and two-time Asian Tour champion, remains the most promising Indian contender at the Damai Indah Golf PIK Course, thanks to successful birdies on the 9th, 13th, 14th, and 16th holes.

While another Indian golfer, Gaganjeet Bhullar, mirrored Gangjee's score, he couldn't finish due to early darkness. Inclement weather conditions earlier in the day paused play for over an hour, resulting in 45 players needing to complete their rounds the following morning, complicating the tournament schedule.
