Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has announced that he expects to bowl without restrictions by the start of the Ashes series. Green, who underwent spinal surgery for a stress fracture, is preparing to resume bowling in the Sheffield Shield for Western Australia against New South Wales this Saturday.
Green told reporters that he feels in excellent condition after a year-long rehabilitation journey. He emphasized that the goal has been to peak for the Ashes, with the first test against England set for November 21 in Perth.
The 26-year-old has been batting at number three since his mid-year return to test cricket, and he anticipates managing both batting and bowling duties. Fellow all-rounder Beau Webster could assist in managing the bowling workload, providing a strategy informed by former all-rounder Shane Watson's experience.
