Fermin Aldeguer Claims First MotoGP Victory Amidst Drama at Indonesia Grand Prix
Rookie Fermin Aldeguer claimed his first MotoGP victory at the Indonesia Grand Prix. The race was marked by a crash involving newly crowned champion Marc Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi. Despite an initial lead loss, Aldeguer surpassed Pedro Acosta to secure his win, overshadowing his Saturday sprint disappointment.

Fermin Aldeguer, a rookie with Gresini Racing, celebrated his inaugural MotoGP triumph at the Indonesia Grand Prix on Sunday. His decisive victory came after overtaking KTM racer Pedro Acosta on the 10th lap, solidifying his place well ahead of competitors. Aldeguer's success comes just a day after a narrow defeat, having finished second in Saturday's sprint race.
The race took a dramatic turn when Marc Marquez, fresh from securing his seventh MotoGP championship, collided with Marco Bezzecchi. The incident transpired after Bezzecchi attempted an aggressive maneuver, leading both riders off the track. Although shaken, Marquez managed to leave the circuit with assistance, while Bezzecchi and Marquez exchanged a respectful handshake.
The misfortune extended to Ducati as Francesco Bagnaia, a two-time champion, suffered a spill, further hampering his challenging season amid the high-octane drama at Mandalika International Circuit. Meanwhile, in Moto3, KTM Ajo's Jose Antonio Rueda emerged victorious, claiming the 2025 title earlier that day.
