Indian squash player Joshna Chinappa captured her 11th PSA Tour title at the Japan Open in Yokohama on Monday by overcoming Egypt's Haya Ali in four games. The victory underscores Chinappa's enduring skill in the sport despite her current world ranking of 117.

Chinappa, a former world No. 10, defeated third seed Haya Ali with scores of 11-5, 11-9, 6-11, 11-8 in a brisk 38-minute clash during the USD 15,000 Challenger event final. Prior to this, she decisively beat Egypt's Rana Ismail in straight games during the semifinals.

In contrast, reigning men's national champion Abhay Singh faced a crushing defeat against French world No. 9 Victor Crouin in the Silicon Valley Open. Singh, who is ranked 29th globally, was unable to overcome Crouin in their round-of-16 match at the USD 130,500 PSA Gold event.
