The convention, led by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, aims to enhance policy alignment and institutional convergence.
A high priority will be placed on improving the sports ecosystem in India, with discussions focused on medal strategies and athlete development pathways under the Khelo India Mission. The event will also consider the proposed Khelo Bharat Niti to boost Centre-State coordination and discuss talent identification and grassroots development.
The Shivir will tackle issues like promoting clean sport and establishing India as a global hub for sports goods manufacturing. Besides sports, youth affairs topics will be covered, ensuring expanded engagement and improved frameworks. The deliberations are expected to inform future policies and contribute to a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.
