Roundglass Hockey Academy won the Sikh Union Club Nairobi Centenary Celebrations Hockey Tournament 2026, showcasing resilience and skill to clinch the title. Despite an initial setback, their unyielding performances led them to a historic victory, marking a successful season with further athletes selected for national coaching camps.
The Roundglass Hockey Academy (RGHA) celebrated a stellar victory at the Sikh Union Club Nairobi Centenary Celebrations Hockey Tournament 2026. The academy, after an impressive series of matches, lifted the coveted championship trophy in Kenya's capital, Nairobi.
Despite facing an initial hurdle with a 1-4 loss to host team Nairobi Sikh Union in the group stage, RGHA demonstrated remarkable resilience. Under the guidance of coach Kankala Vishnu and manager Manish Pandey, they embarked on an unwavering winning streak, including a standout 9-0 triumph over the London Sikh Union.
The tournament concluded with a thrilling final as RGHA prevailed over Nairobi Sikh Union 4-1. A quick recovery from an early penalty corner goal showcased their character. Their recent success adds to an already remarkable season, with several academy players advancing to national coaching camps.
