Nitin Menon, standing firm as the sole Indian representative among the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will remain on the esteemed list for the 2026-27 season. The International Cricket Council (ICC) made this announcement following an exhaustive review process. The governing body opted to keep the panel unchanged, citing consistency and high standards in its officiating.

Javagal Srinath also continues to be the only Indian voice in the Elite Panel of Match Referees. ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta praised the team's unwavering quality and the clarity they bring in high-pressure situations. He emphasized the assurance this consistency provides to players, teams, and fans worldwide.

The Umpire Selection Panel, chaired by Wasim Khan and comprising experienced individuals like Mike Riley, Peter Manuel, and Sanjay Manjrekar, decided to retain the current roster after assessing the performance throughout the international cricket sphere.
