In a thrilling finish at the Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship, Railways' Sonam Uttam Maskar clinched the women's 10m air rifle gold medal. Maskar's impressive score of 252.1 edged her past Gujarat's Elavenil Valarivan, who settled for silver with 251.7.

The competition saw Maharashtra's Arya Borse securing the bronze with a score of 230.4. The qualification round was dominated by Maharashtra's Shambhavi Kshirsagar with 633.9, followed by Elavenil and Arya.

In other events, Tilottama Sen from West Bengal triumphed in the junior women's 10m air rifle, while Karnataka's Sanvi R.P. emerged victorious in the youth category. Maharashtra claimed the women's team title.
