Jonas Vingegaard secured his second win in three days at the Giro d'Italia, demonstrating exceptional skill in the ninth stage. The Danish cyclist pulled ahead in a compelling solo finish on a challenging climb, leaving his main competitor, Felix Gall, trailing behind. Despite Gall's fierce attack towards the end of the 184 km route, Vingegaard's power and strategy triumphed as he raced past.

Afonso Eulalio maintained his overall lead, crossing the finish line in fifth place, just 41 seconds after Vingegaard. The pink jersey holder now leads the Giro by two minutes and 24 seconds, with Gall even further back in third. Italian rider Giulio Ciccone's calculated attempt at victory was thwarted as Vingegaard and Gall overtook him in the final kilometers.

The stage witnessed early ambitions as multiple riders attempted breakaways. Ciccone, who had strategically lost time on Saturday to focus on stage success, made a bold move with 74 km to go. He and his compatriots caught the leaders but were eventually outpaced on the final climb. The race resumes on Tuesday with a 42km individual time trial from Viareggio to Massa following a rest day.
