Betting Bust: IPL T20’s Underworld Exposed
Twenty-three individuals have been arrested due to alleged illegal betting activities during the IPL T20 cricket tournament in Bengaluru. The Central Crime Branch's coordinated raids uncovered numerous items linked to these operations, amounting to a total value of Rs 13.39 crore. Investigations continue as authorities probe deeper.

In a significant crackdown on illegal activities, the Central Crime Branch's Special Investigation Squad arrested 23 people for alleged betting during the IPL T20 tournament.
The arrests followed coordinated raids conducted across Bengaluru, resulting in 17 distinct cricket betting cases. The action was executed across multiple police jurisdictions in the city.
Seized items include seven mobile phones worth Rs 1.10 lakh, cash totalling Rs 1,06,433, and betting chips valued at a staggering Rs 13.37 crore. Authorities estimate the overall value of confiscated goods at Rs 13.39 crore as they continue with their investigation.
