Scott Hansen to Lead Canterbury Crusaders from 2027

Scott Hansen will take over as head coach of the Canterbury Crusaders in 2027, replacing Rob Penney. This appointment was confirmed by the New Zealand team on Wednesday.

Penney, who led the team since Scott Robertson's departure to the All Blacks in 2023, will conclude his tenure at the end of this season after guiding the team to a Super Rugby Pacific title in 2025.
