Ravindra and Blundell Shine with Centuries in Historic NZ-Ireland Test Clash

Rachin Ravindra and Tom Blundell showcased outstanding batting performances to lead New Zealand to a strong position on the first day of their historic Test against Ireland. After initial struggles, the team recovered to reach 361-5 by the end of play.

However, the partnership between Ravindra and Blundell steadied the innings, accumulating a decisive 217-run stand. Ravindra, scoring 121, was eventually dismissed to Harry Tector's spin, while Blundell remained unbeaten at 142. This one-off Test marks New Zealand's first encounter with Ireland in the Test format, played at Belfast's Civil Service Cricket Club.

Following this match, New Zealand will embark on a three-Test series against England, beginning at Lord's on June 4.
