In a recent statement, China's commerce ministry declared its strong dissatisfaction with the European Union's latest move to impose restrictions on Chinese companies within the medical devices sector.
The European Commission announced plans to exclude Chinese firms from participating in public tenders related to medical devices, valued at 60 billion euros annually. The decision comes after the EU concluded that its companies face unequal access to the Chinese market.
China criticized the EU's actions, arguing that the unilateral measures create new protectionist barriers, damaging both Chinese enterprises and the principles of fair competition. Current exchange rates place one dollar equivalent to 0.8617 euros.
