Niti Aayog has sounded the alarm on the pivotal role of data quality in securing India's digital future, stressing the urgent need for robust standards to enhance public trust and digital governance.
In its latest report, 'India's Data Imperative: The Pivot Towards Quality,' the government think tank has launched tools such as a Data-Quality Scorecard and Data-Quality Maturity Framework, essential for elevating the country's service delivery and AI ecosystem.
Releasing the report, Niti Aayog CEO B V R Subrahmanyam underscored the transition from legacy systems to digital platforms, highlighting the challenges posed by non-standardized data. He stressed a nationwide cultural shift where quality is a shared responsibility from policymakers to frontline workers.
