Boosting Manufacturing: New Electronics Cluster in UP Set to Create 15,000 Jobs

The government has sanctioned a new Electronics Manufacturing Cluster worth Rs 417 crore in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The initiative is geared towards bolstering sectors like consumer and industrial electronics, alongside medical devices and communication equipment, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.

Designed with startups and MSMEs in mind, the cluster will provide access to state-of-the-art infrastructure including factory sheds, utilities, accommodations, and skill development arenas. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw indicated this project would create approximately 15,000 jobs.

Strategically located near significant transport networks like the Yamuna Expressway and Jewar International Airport, the cluster is set to attract Rs 2,500 crore in investments. Spearheaded by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), this endeavor is part of a national vision championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enhance manufacturing and job creation in India.
