Reliance Defence Limited, backed by Reliance Infrastructure, announced a crucial partnership with Coastal Mechanics Inc to capitalize on India's growing Rs 20,000 crore defence maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) segment.

The collaboration targets comprehensive solutions to support and modernize significant platforms for the Indian armed forces. These platforms include over 100 Jaguar and MiG-29 fighter aircraft, Apache helicopters, and various air and land defence systems requiring sustainment and upgrades.

A joint venture in Maharashtra's MIHAN will facilitate services for Indian military needs and exports. Coastal Mechanics, a veteran supplier to US forces, lends its expertise and experience in defence sustainability to this partnership.
