Digital India: A Decade of Transformative Change and Empowerment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the transformative success of the Digital India initiative on Tuesday, asserting that it has effectively bridged the digital divide and democratized opportunities, resulting in a widespread people's movement.

Modi emphasized that the initiative has dramatically increased internet access, from 25 crore connections in 2014 to 97 crore today, and fostered significant advancements in digital payments, infrastructure, and commerce. The government's approach, spearheaded by a commitment to innovation, has positioned India as a global leader in digital ecosystems.

The Prime Minister also noted that the next decade promises even more transformative growth, moving from digital governance to global digital leadership. Modi urged innovators and entrepreneurs to harness technology that unites and uplifts, marking India's journey toward an Aatmanirbhar Bharat and reinforcing its status as a trusted innovation partner globally.
