Esri India Commits to GeoAI Growth with New Competency Centre in Noida

Esri India Technologies has inaugurated a Geographic Information System (GIS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) competency centre in Noida. The company announced a substantial investment of over Rs 150 crore over the next five years to propel the development of cutting-edge GeoAI technology.

This strategic initiative seeks to expand Esri India's team of professionals, including AI specialists, GIS experts, and data scientists, aiming to develop AI-driven geospatial solutions. These solutions focus on addressing complex challenges faced by GIS users through advanced spatial analysis and enhanced decision-making capabilities.

According to Managing Director Agendra Kumar, the integration of AI and geospatial intelligence is vital for driving innovation in GIS applications. The new centre will support this evolution by enabling customers to gain richer insights from complex geospatial data, automate processes, and make faster, data-driven decisions. Furthermore, Esri India plans to collaborate with academic and research institutions to cultivate local AI talent and stimulate GeoAI innovation.
