The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) announced successful field trials of a new compact software defined radio (SDR) along with a key communication system. These trials, a testament to DRDO's dedication to indigenous solutions, were designed to meet stringent national security requirements.
Conducted by the Defence Electronics Application Laboratory (DEAL) in Uttarakhand's Joshimath, the trials demonstrated strong performance, achieving the specified operational targets. The activities were closely coordinated with the Ministry of Home Affairs and central armed police forces.
Participants in these diverse-terrain trials included officers from prominent paramilitary forces. The validation focused on real-world conditions to test system reliability comprehensively, marking a significant milestone for DRDO.
