India's digital economy stands as one of the most dynamic globally, experiencing tremendous growth due to the rapid adoption of smartphones, affordable data packages, and a vibrant community of developers and entrepreneurs. The report underlines the substantial role of Google Play and Android in this digital transformation.

The app ecosystem supported by Google Play and Android has fostered over 35 lakh jobs, including direct, indirect, and spillover employment opportunities. Additionally, India counts approximately 10 lakh active developers, many of whom have a significant overseas user base, further strengthening its position as a leader in this space.
