Space Diplomacy: NASA and Russia Seek Common Ground
Interim NASA head, Sean Duffy, aims to find common ground with Russia on space issues. Despite disagreements, the partnership on the International Space Station remains. Duffy will meet with Roscosmos' Dmitry Bakanov to discuss the ISS's future and joint U.S.-Russia projects.

NASA's interim leader, Sean Duffy, looks to bridge gaps with Russia on space collaboration amid wider geopolitical tensions. This comes as Duffy plans to engage in discussions with Roscosmos head, Dmitry Bakanov, marking the first such meeting since 2018.
Despite the U.S.-Russia discord over Ukraine, Duffy emphasizes the need to maintain space partnerships, particularly regarding the International Space Station. He stresses that these collaborations should endure through challenging times.
As Duffy prepares for a trip to Cape Canaveral, Florida, where he will attend the SpaceX Crew-11 launch, the focus remains on extending the operational life of the ISS and addressing future deorbiting strategies, as confirmed by Roscosmos.
