In a bid to elevate India's status as a manufacturing giant by 2047, the Startup Policy Forum (SPF) launched 'Build in Bharat,' a groundbreaking initiative to fortify the nation's manufacturing ecosystem. Through collaboration with 50+ pioneering companies, this effort seeks to inspire startups to manufacture within India.

A pivotal development under this initiative is the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Ather Energy and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. This partnership, witnessed by DPIIT's Joint Secretary Shri Sanjiv Singh and Ather Energy Co-founder and CEO Tarun Mehta, aims to propel India's sustainable transport ambitions and nurture manufacturing-centric startups.

The MoU is set to drive investments, boost domestic production, cater to skill enhancement, and create job opportunities in the electric vehicle and advanced manufacturing sectors. This agreement underscores a commitment to fostering a resilient, innovation-driven industrial fabric in India, paving the path for a competitive global presence.
