In an ambitious move to increase accessibility, over 2.5 million tickets will be made available for the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia, some priced as low as A$40. Organizers aim to set a new benchmark for accessibility in global tournaments.
Among the offerings are the elite 'Superfan passes'. Priced at A$750, these passes allow fans guaranteed ticket access to any of the tournament's 52 matches, including the final. Sales for these special passes commence next week followed by a pre-sale early next year.
Brett Robinson, World Rugby chairman, highlighted the wide range of pricing intended to make this edition the most accessible World Cup. The mission extends beyond tickets; it's about reigniting Australians' passion for rugby and renewing international interest in the sport.
