A recent survey highlights a significant trend among Indians who are utilizing technology to handle daily overthinking. According to a joint report by Center Fresh and YouGov, digital tools such as conversational AI platform ChatGPT and Google are aiding Indians in seeking clarity when faced with uncertainty.
The survey polled 2,100 respondents, uncovering that 81% spend more than three hours a day on overthinking, with a quarter describing it as a constant habit. The study titled 'India Overthinking Report' shows one-third of participants turning to Google or ChatGPT for issues ranging from decoding messages to gift purchasing decisions.
The respondents, including students, professionals, and self-employed individuals, come from various regions across India. Findings indicate a shift in behavior, where routine decisions, such as ordering in a restaurant, now spark high levels of stress, often resolved through technological assistance.
