Canva, the Australian graphic design platform, has begun an employee stock sale that places the company's valuation at an impressive $42 billion, according to a Bloomberg News report on Tuesday.
While Reuters could not immediately corroborate the report, Canva has yet to respond to a request for comment. This stock sale allows company employees to sell their shares to both new and existing investors, such as Fidelity Management & Research Company and the asset management division of JPMorgan, as per Bloomberg's information.
Established in Sydney, Canva provides users with tools to create posters, social media graphics, and presentations, utilizing presets, templates, and generative AI features. The company, launched in 2013, had more than 200 million monthly active users across 190 countries and reported an annualized revenue of $2.5 billion last year, reaching a $40 billion valuation in late 2021.
