PSAV Global, in collaboration with Chinese smartphone maker Honor, is set to embark on local manufacturing operations in India by early 2026, according to CP Khandelwal, Co-founder and CEO. The initiative aims to capture a 1% market share, translating to an estimated revenue of Rs 2,500 crore in the first operational year.

Despite initial postponements attributed to overdue approvals from the Bureau of Indian Standards and organizational changes at Honor's headquarters, the company now has received approval for four handset models. This step forward strengthens Honor's competitive presence, highlighted in a Counterpoint Research report positioning it among the fastest-growing smartphone brands globally.

The brand's strategic plan involves launching new models such as the Honor V3 and Honor Magic 7 Pro in India, synchronizing with global release schedules. This aligns with their overarching goal to establish a robust manufacturing footprint and elevate market competitiveness in the region.
