Boost in Electronics Sector: Investment Proposals Soars to Rs 1.15 Lakh Crore
The Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme has attracted investment proposals totaling Rs 1.15 lakh crore, surpassing initial targets. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that these proposals have exceeded expectations in terms of investment, employment, and production. The scheme aims to boost employment significantly from the initial target of 91,600 jobs.

The Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme receives an overwhelming response with investment proposals worth Rs 1.15 lakh crore, as revealed by Union Minister for Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Comparing to original expectations, the proposals have surpassed goals in investment, employment, and production, demonstrating significant industrial commitment.
The initiative, originally expecting investments around Rs 59,000 crore, also projects to create 1.41 lakh jobs, markedly exceeding the set objective of 91,600 jobs, according to Electronics and IT Secretary S Krishnan.
