Axiro Semiconductor, a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, has partnered with Japan's MPower Partners to invest in EdgeCortix. This Japanese firm is known for its breakthroughs in energy-efficient AI processing.
According to a regulatory filing, the specific amount of investment was not disclosed. However, the fresh injection of capital is intended to propel the development and commercialization of EdgeCortix's cutting-edge platforms, including the upcoming SAKURA-X, an innovative chiplet-based platform designed for Generative and Agentic AI.
EdgeCortix, headquartered in Kanagawa with operations in India and the US, aims to advance its real-time edge inference technologies. Axiro CEO Naveen Yanduru highlighted the strategic fit between the companies' AI capabilities, noting enhanced integration into telecoms and wireless infrastructure sectors worldwide.
