India's New Alliance to Revolutionize R&D Ecosystem
India's Principal Scientific Adviser and FICCI have teamed up to enhance the country's research and development landscape. The partnership aims to integrate industry, academia, and research to foster commercialisation and new technologies, with a focus on impactful, outcome-driven solutions and strategic partnerships across various sectors.
In a significant move to advance India's research and development capabilities, India's Principal Scientific Adviser has joined forces with FICCI, a leading industry body. The partnership, formalized through a memorandum of understanding, seeks to enhance cooperation between industry, academia, and research institutions, aiming for significant innovations.
FICCI Vice President Puneet Dalmia hailed the initiative as a transformative step, focusing on translating academic research into tangible applications. 'This collaboration targets shifting mindsets from siloed efforts to systemic approaches, fostering transformational solutions with global outcomes,' Dalmia stated.
Principal Scientific Adviser Ajay Kumar Sood emphasized the need for technology diffusion in high-priority areas like solar energy and green batteries. Sood remarked, 'With government-backed RDI funding, the initiative opens doors for industries and startups to delve into deep tech research and emerge with new technologies.'
