India has taken decisive action to bolster its solar glass industry by imposing an anti-dumping duty of up to USD 664 per tonne on certain imports from China and Vietnam.
The decision follows an investigation by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies, which found significant evidence of dumping in 'Textured Toughened (Tempered) Coated and Uncoated Glass,' essential for solar panels.
The move, enforced for five years, aims to level the playing field for domestic manufacturers, ensuring fair trade practices amid surging cheap imports from abroad.
