On Friday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi outlined the state's ambitious Vision 2036 plan during a consultation workshop, aiming to position Odisha as a $500 billion economy by its centennial in 2036. The strategic initiative, dubbed '36 for 36', focuses on 36 key sectors, including education and health.

Majhi emphasized a 'whole of government' approach to implementing the plan, which entails extensive public consultation and expert input. Over 3.2 lakh suggestions were gathered from residents and Odias abroad, with the vision document leveraging artificial intelligence for data analysis.

The CM highlighted that the draft vision document, nearing completion, promises prosperity and development for Odisha's 4.5 crore citizens. Additional regional workshops are planned as part of the initiative, aiming to further refine the state's roadmap by incorporating diverse viewpoints, including feedback from MLAs and MPs.
