Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fundamentally altering industries and economies worldwide, according to a report by Morgan Stanley. Just over two years since the launch of ChatGPT, the research suggests we are merely at the beginning of AI's expansive influence across various sectors.
While AI infrastructure companies led the way in 2024, a shift is expected in 2025 toward practical AI applications that enhance efficiency and competitiveness. The report forecasts that 'Agentic AI', which autonomously executes tasks beyond standard chatbot responses, will spearhead a new phase of productivity enhancements.
Early adopters of Agentic AI are predicted to outperform competitors, capitalizing on underestimated benefits like improved enterprise adoption, enhanced model capabilities, and broader monetization avenues. Furthermore, rapid advancements in embodied AI technologies, including robotics and autonomous vehicles, add another layer of growth potential, with significant revenue opportunities anticipated by 2028.
