Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has unveiled a special incentive for the beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana. In addition to the regular monthly instalment of Rs 1,250, the beneficiaries will receive an extra Rs 250 as 'shagun' during the Raksha Bandhan festival. This announcement was made at a function in Belkheda village, near Jabalpur district headquarters.

The chief minister highlighted that this additional financial gift aims to further support eligible women of the scheme, which has been delivering monthly support since its inception. The June instalment alone saw Rs 1,551.44 crore transferred to 1.27 crore beneficiaries, marking the 25th round of disbursement under this program.

Further development activities were announced, including the opening of a government college in Belkheda and the construction of office and residential facilities for revenue department staff. Yadav also laid the foundation stones for several projects aimed at boosting the district's infrastructure.
