The tragic incident occurred when a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into a medical college complex soon after takeoff from Ahmedabad. Despite a May Day call to Ahmedabad's ATC, the aircraft, carrying 242 people, plummeted moments after reaching approximately 650 feet.
