An IndiGo flight en route to Leh from Delhi was forced to return to its point of origin after encountering a technical issue on Thursday morning, officials confirmed. The A320 aircraft, flight number 6E2006, was airborne for over two hours before making its way back.
According to information from the flight tracking website Flightradar24.com, the technical issue imposed operational restrictions that made it impossible for the plane to land in Leh. In accordance with standard procedures, the pilot chose to return to Delhi.
An IndiGo spokesperson confirmed that the affected aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance. Meanwhile, passengers have been accommodated on an alternative flight to their destination. Details of passenger numbers remain unavailable at this time.
