A Hyderabad-Tirupati SpiceJet flight was compelled to return to its departure point on Thursday due to a technical issue, according to sources.

The flight, designated SG 2696, took off at 6.19 AM but landed back at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport shortly after, deviating from its planned arrival in Tirupati at 7.40 AM, as confirmed by flightradar24.com.

SpiceJet stated that the incident involved the illumination of the AFT baggage door light post-take-off, while cabin pressurization remained normal. As a precaution, the flight crew opted to return. The landing was safe, and passengers were deplaned as usual. No emergency landing was required, and an alternative aircraft was arranged for the Tirupati route.
