Cognizant to Boost Andhra Pradesh's IT Sector with New Campus

Cognizant Technology Solutions is taking a significant step in expanding India's IT sector by announcing the establishment of a world-class IT and ITES campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This venture involves an impressive investment of Rs 1,583 crore and is expected to generate 8,000 job opportunities in the coming years.
The state government is supporting this initiative by allocating 21.31 acres of land in Kapulauppada, under the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA), at a nominal rate of Rs 99 paisa. This favorable arrangement is a testament to the collaboration between the government and Cognizant to enhance the region's IT ecosystem.
According to a press release, the company has set its sights on March 2029 for the campus to begin operations. This development marks a pivotal moment in Andhra Pradesh's bid to strengthen its position as a significant player in the IT industry.
