Tragic Collision in Bihar: Awadh Assam Express Accident

A fatal accident occurred in Bihar's Sonpur Rail Division on Friday when the Awadh Assam Express collided with an engineering trolley, resulting in the death of a railway worker and injuring three others.
According to Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, the tragic incident took place around 1 pm near Semapur station as the Awadh Assam Express was en route to Katihar. The train was temporarily halted but resumed operation about half an hour later, after the accident site was cleared and the injured workers received medical attention.
An investigation has been launched to understand why the trolley remained on the tracks as the passenger train approached, leading to the collision.
