Tragic Tanker Crash on Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway

A speeding tanker dramatically crashed through a safety barrier on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, landing forcefully into a creek and resulting in the death of the driver, according to police reports.

Investigations suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle as it headed towards Thane, specifically when crossing the old Versova bridge located in Thane's Ghodbunder area.

The crash not only shattered the iron safety barrier but also led to significant traffic congestion on the heavily traveled Ghodbunder Road. Subsequently, an operation was launched using heavy cranes to recover the vehicle and locate any additional victims. The driver's body has been recovered, and authorities are investigating whether an assistant was present.
