The Reserve Bank of India's recent policy shift to reduce provisioning norms for infrastructure lending has been praised by Kings Infra Ventures Ltd. This strategic reform is set to unlock over Rs.10 lakh crore in credit, proving vital for India's infrastructure, particularly in the emerging nutritional sector.

As a pioneering entity in land-based aquaculture and seafood supply chains, Kings Infra stands to capitalize significantly on this change. Chairman Shaji Baby John anticipates this financial flexibility will elevate aquaculture infrastructure, enabling the company to enhance its contribution to India's Blue Economy and food security.

The RBI's decision reduces provisioning for under-construction infrastructure from 5% to 1%, facilitating faster rollout of sustainable projects. With plans to co-develop aquaculture projects, Kings Infra aims to transform underutilized land into productive assets fostering clean protein exports, climate-resilient farming, and rural employment.
