In a strategic move, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu underlined his ambition to position the state as a leader in aerospace and defence innovation. During a review of the Aerospace and Defence Policy 4.0 at the Secretariat, Naidu stressed the transformative role of technology in bolstering national defence.

Highlighting the policy's mission to attract Rs 1 lakh crore in investments, Naidu proposed amendments to align with national security priorities. An emphasis was placed on facilitating industrial growth that serves defence applications and enhances daily life, particularly after the significance demonstrated by Operation Sindoor.

To bolster sector growth, Naidu advocated for a Rs 100-crore annual fund for MSMEs and logistic subsidies. The policy outlines designated manufacturing corridors in Andhra Pradesh to drive specialized production, with 23 companies already investing Rs 22,000 crore and creating 17,000 jobs in the region.
