The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) has decided to allow the levying of a User Development Fee (UDF) at the soon-to-be-operational Navi Mumbai airport on an ad-hoc basis.
Passengers flying from this airport will incur charges of Rs 620 for domestic and Rs 1,225 for international flights. The UDF for arriving passengers is set at Rs 270 for domestic and Rs 525 for international flights, as stipulated in AERA's 42-page comprehensive order.
This temporary UDF arrangement, approved for the financial year 2025-26, will persist until March 31, 2026, or until a permanent tariff is determined. During this interim, NMIAL is expected to account for the revenue generated in the upcoming tariff determination exercises.
