Jindal Steel's New Galvanizing Line Boosts Industry Offerings
Jindal Steel has launched its first galvanizing line at the Angul plant in Odisha, as part of a multicrore investment. This development aims to enhance the supply of coated products to various industries. The line will produce galvanized and Galvalume products, thus expanding their coated steel offerings.

Jindal Steel has taken a strategic step forward by commissioning its inaugural galvanizing line at the Angul plant in Odisha. This new addition is set to enhance the company's capacity to supply an array of industries including automotive, infrastructure, and construction with high-quality coated products.
The coated galvanizing line, referred to as CGL 1, is part of Jindal Steel's ongoing multi-crore investment at the Angul facility. It signifies a significant expansion in its coated steel product range, with the line churning out galvanized and Galvalume products under the Jindal Panther Galvanised and ZINKALUME brands.
With this advancement, Jindal Steel strengthens its commitment to delivering precision and quality, processing steel thicknesses ranging from 0.15 mm to 1.50 mm and widths from 700 mm to 1,400 mm. As the plant ramps up to 12 million tonnes per annum capacity, expectations of becoming the largest single-location steel plant globally grow.
